Delays across Melbourne's train network

A delay in finishing track work between two major city stations has caused Monday morning chaos for commuters across Melbourne's train network.

Work on tracks between Flinders Street and Southern Cross Station meant Metro Trains were unable to use the tracks until 5.15am on Monday , the rail operator said.

There are also delays on the Craigieburn, Frankston, Sunbury, Upfield, Werribee and Williamstown lines.
