Daylight robbery of Melb jewellery store

Two men, one armed with a gun, threatened a Melbourne jewellery store owner before stealing jewellery worth thousands of dollars.

The gunman forced his way through the front door of the St Kilda store at about 8:30am on Thursday before inviting his accomplice in through a rear door.

The men, who covered their faces, took off with jewellery worth a "significant value", police say.
