Dancing masked man brings Victorian traffic to a standstill

A masked man has brought a confused Victorian driver to a standstill after he jumped out in front of his car and started dancing.

Trent Knight was halfway to work on Monday morning shortly after 8:30am when he spotted a man in a singlet and mask wandering onto High St in Golden Square.

"When I first saw him he had run out in front of a truck and was moving around in the traffic before he approached my car," he told nine.com.au.

After moving away from the truck the masked man turned his attention to Knight.

The computer technician held his hand on his horn as the man started dancing in front of his car while carrying what appeared to be a digeridoo.

"He didn't seem threatening, that was my first impression. He had too much stuff in his hands and he wasn't acting aggressive. He just looked like he was off his face I suppose," Knight said.

Knight held his hand on the horn during the entire ordeal until a nearby ambulance responded.

"My theory was I would hold my hand flat down because at that time of the morning there are a lot of service vehicles driving around. Eventually an ambulance drove past and pulled up."

Knight said the man was taken to hospital.
