Cyclist seriously injured Vic hit and run

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a hit and run in suburban Melbourne.
The woman was knocked off her bike when a vehicle veered in front of her as she approached the driveway of a Frankston liquor store on Friday morning.
She was left injured and lying on the road after the driver turned into a nearby car park and drove off, police said.

Pedestrians tried to chase the car down but couldn't catch it.
The 46-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital in a serious condition with suspected spinal injuries.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a white Holden commodore station wagon.
