Customs uncover weapons haul in Vic raid

Machinery used to manufacture firearms, as well as 24 bladed weapons and drugs have been seized by police in Melbourne's northeast.
Officers raided a Reservoir home on Wednesday after 10 cargo consignments from the United States, Italy, Hong Kong and China containing prohibited weapons, including BB Rifles, Airguns and firearms-related items were intercepted by customs.
A 37-year-old man faced an out-of-sessions court on Thursday morning and was remanded in custody, charged with a number of offences relating to the possession, trafficking and use of drugs as well as weapons charges.

He is expected to front Melbourne Magistrate's Court at a later date.
