Crackdown on Melb rail graffiti vandals
AAP
A crackdown on Melbourne train and rail graffiti vandals has nabbed 50 people over the past six months.
The joint operation from police and Metro Trains has accounted for 145 acts of vandalism, including one 38-year-old man who was charged with more than 60 counts of graffiti offending.
"At the lower end of the scale we are seeing young offenders writing their names on the inside walls of trains. In other instances vandals have scrawled their graffiti tag multiple times across many areas," acting Superintendent Karl Curran said.
