Cop kicked in face in Melb arrest

An off-duty officer was assaulted, and another cop kicked in the face, when a 28-year-old man went on a rampage at two Melbourne shops.

Victoria Police say the man abused and assaulted several people at a store and a fast food restaurant in Pascoe Vale on Sunday night.

The off-duty officer received minor injuries at the restaurant before an arresting officer was kicked in the face, police said on Monday, adding the 28-year-old will face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
