Chopper chase leads to two Vic arrests

Detectives have arrested two men in their 20s after a police chopper tracked a speeding car with suspected stolen plates for 90 minutes in Melbourne.
The car was first spotted on the Western Ring Road at Broadmeadows about 12.15am on Thursday and, although police on the ground did conduct a short pursuit, it was called off when the car sped off.
The Air Wing monitored the vehicle from the air and "stop sticks" were eventually deployed in Lalor about 1.45am.

Two men, aged 29 and 22, made a run for it but were arrested by detectives who believe the car was stolen in an aggravated burglary earlier this month.
