Childcare operator underpays again: FWO

A Melbourne childcare operator will head to court for the second time in three years for allegedly underpaying workers.

The Fair Work Ombudsman alleges Vivien Mahomet underpaid basic minimum entitlements of two staff at Academy for Kids Glen Waverley, stripping them of almost $13,000.

Ms Mahomet was fined almost $20,000 in 2014 for underpaying five workers, with Judge John O'Sullivan saying there was "no evidence" she was remorseful, contrite or had taken steps to mitigate the seriousness of the conduct.
