Child fights for life after Vic crash

A young child is fighting for life after a crash in eastern Victoria.

The car veered off the Hyland Highway at Gormandale and hit a tree on Monday afternoon.

The child was airlifted to the Royal Children's Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The man driving the car was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
