Nothing sinister in Vic charity donation

It turns out nothing is sinister about a mystery $30,000 donation to a Melbourne charity.
Police initially thought the money dropped at the city charity in July may have been linked to an armed robbery at a Footscray jewellery store the previous day.
A bag of cash and jewellery was believed to have been dropped near the store after the robbery, but police are yet to find it.

A man explained on Thursday that his donation was an act of generosity that had nothing to do with any crime.
