Charges laid for Vic security guard attack

Four men have been arrested after a security guard was punched in the face, kicked and spat on during a brawl at a Melbourne shopping centre.

The security guard confronted a man who was trying to steal from the Chadstone JB Hi-Fi store on April 3, when he was attacked by a group of man, police say.

A 24-year-old Mt Waverley man and a 23-year-old Bentleigh East man have been charged and remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on 3 May.

A 19-year-old Oakleigh man and a 19-year-old Doncaster man have been charged and bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on 13 July.
