The pregnant step-daughter of slain underworld figure Carl Williams has briefly faced a Melbourne court charged with attempted murder.

Danielle Stephens, the 22-year-old daughter of Williams' former wife Roberta Williams, and her de facto partner Sanar Ghanim, 25, have been charged over the shooting of a man in Broadmeadows last year.

The pair, with co-accused Tugay Afacan, 23, who appeared via videolink, fronted the Supreme Court of Victoria on Friday.

It's alleged Afacan drove to an industrial street where he shot Serkan Kala, 22, while Stephens and Ghanim were in the car.

All three were not required to speak during the brief hearing.

Earlier this year, Stephens, Ghanim and Afacan were committed to stand trial on charges of attempted murder, intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury and causing serious injury.

All three will return to court on October 19 for a three-week trial.

Stephens and Ghanim remain on bail while Afacan is in custody.
