Car slams into tree, Victorian man killed

A man is dead after the car he was driving smashed into a tree in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges.
He was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed in Sassafras east of Melbourne about 10.30pm on Thursday.
The driver, who's yet to be identified, died at the scene.
