Cannabis crop seized in Melbourne house

More than 100 mature cannabis plants are being hauled out of a Melbourne home that was being used for a sophisticated hydroponic set-up.

Police raided the Chelsea Heights home about 6.30am on Thursday and arrested a 30-year-old man at Carrum Downs about the same time.

He is being interviewed by police and is expected to be charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a drug of dependence.
