Bus driver in spat with passenger

A female bus driver has been spat on by a passenger at a Melbourne shopping centre.

The driver asked a male passenger to get off the bus at Chadstone Shopping Centre after a verbal altercation last month, police say.

The man got off the bus but returned to the driver and spat at her before walking away.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
