A teenage boy has escaped an attempted kidnapping by two men by kicking one of them in the shin after he was grabbed in Melbourne's southeast.
The 13-year-old was walking alone in parkland in Narre Warren on July 17 when a passenger got out of a car, grabbed his hand and said "you're coming with me", Victoria Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
The man pulled the boy towards the car - which was being driven by an elderly man in his 70s - but the teen was able to escape by kicking him in the shin and running off.
