Bourke Street trolleyman wanted by police

A homeless Melburnian dubbed Bourke Street's "trolleyman" is wanted over burglaries and breaching his bail conditions.

Michael Rogers, 46, rammed Hassan Khalif Shire Ali with a shopping trolley as police officers tried to disarm the Somali-born radical in the Bourke St terror attack on Friday.

But less than a week later, police want to track Mr Rogers down for other matters.

"Police are seeking the whereabouts of a 46-year-old man of no fixed address in relation to a number of recent burglaries in the Melbourne CBD and St Kilda areas and breach of bail conditions," they said in a statement on Thursday night.

Almost $144,000 has been raised by the public for Mr Rogers since Saturday.

The National Homeless Collective, who set-up the online fundraiser, states on the website all of the money will be held in a trust fund for Mr Rogers.

An accountancy firm has also offered to oversee it and provide him with financial advice.
