Body identified after Melbourne car fire

A man found murdered in a burnt out car in Melbourne was known to police for his links to drugs.

Dung Tri Pham's body was found by emergency crews responding to the fire at a reserve in Eumemmerring shortly before midnight on March 26.

Police released his name on Thursday, saying he was known to them in relation to drugs.

Pham, 40, of Hallam, immigrated with his family from Vietnam in 1983 and is survived by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
