Body found after Vic caravan fire

A body has been found in a burned-out caravan in Victoria's south.

Fellow campers at the camping ground in Glenaire, near Apollo Bay, reported seeing a caravan on fire just before 6pm on Monday.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and then discovered a body in the caravan.

It was still hitched up to a vehicle when the fire started.

An arson chemist will investigate but police don't believe the fire was suspicious.

The body is yet to be formally identified.
