Body found after Melbourne car fire

A body has been found in a burnt-out car in Melbourne.

Emergency services were called to a car fire at a reserve in Eumemmerring shortly before midnight on Thursday and discovered the body.

The person is yet to be formally identified, and homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances of the death.

A post mortem is due to be conducted on Friday.
