Bikie's sentence extended over kidnapping

A member of the Comancheros outlaw motorcycle club with a track record of henchman-type crimes has had yet more time added to an existing jail sentence.

Thomas Laslo, 31, was sentenced on Friday over the 2015 kidnapping of Matthew Wilson, who owed Laslo's associate a van and money.

Laslo chased Mr Wilson, punched and bundled him into the van, tied him up and made him call family members to request cash in return for his release, the Victorian County Court heard.

The extra jail time comes on top of a December 2015 sentence over Laslo's role in torturing a man with boiling water.

This sentence was extended a first time in September last year after Laslo was found guilty of being recruited to blackmail a software engineer.

Judge Gavan Meredith noted there was no indication the kidnapping incident was connected to the Comancheros.

As Laslo chased Mr Wilson, neighbours heard Mr Wilson yelling for help and called police.

Laslo, an accomplice and their associate drove off, tied Mr Wilson up and forced him to call his father and demand $5000 for his release.

"Give them your boat, Dad," Mr Wilson pleaded.

Mr Wilson was made to call other family members but was later released.

Laslo's lawyer Julie Condon SC on Friday told the court her client had been having a hard time in jail because of surgery needed for his right hand.

She also said Laslo was from a "normal family" and would be employed upon his release from prison.

With the extra four months added, Laslo is due out of prison in mid-2019.
