AusNet denies blame for Black Sat blaze

The power company blamed by a coroner for one of the deadly Black Saturday bushfires that claimed 40 lives does not agree with these findings.
The Murrindindi-Marysville bushfire burned from February 7 to March 5 in 2009, also gutting 50 homes and destroying millions of dollars worth of property.
State Coroner Judge Ian Gray says the origin and cause was a failed power conductor.

AusNet says it has the deepest sympathy for those impacted by the fires.
But the power company says it does not agree with the findings "as they were determined without a hearing and the evidence upon which they are based was untested".
