A Melbourne man has died after his drink was reportedly spiked in Laos.
The man, a 24-year-old tourist, died at the weekend and his friend required hospital treatment, News Corp reports.

A Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokeswoman says it is providing consular assistance to the family of an Australian man who died in Laos.
The department could not comment further on the circumstances surrounding the man's death "for privacy reasons", the spokeswoman said.
