Ashes stolen in Melbourne burglary

The ashes of three stillborn children have been stolen during a Melbourne burglary.
A box containing the ashes was wrapped in tape and looked like a parcel.
Offenders broke through a side window of the Kurunjang home before ransacking it and also stealing laptops, jewellery and an iPhone, police said on Friday.

The burglary is believed to have happened between 3pm and 6.15pm on Thursday.
