Alleged Mildura people smuggler bailed

A man charged with people smuggling has been bailed in a Mildura court.
Abbas Allami, 37, is accused of involvement in people smuggling between September 2013 and December 2013.
He was granted bail on Thursday with a $10,000 surety and other conditions and the matter was adjourned until September 10.

Reports say Allami was allegedly involved in a major people-smuggling syndicate operating from Iraq to Australia.
