An alleged dog-napper has been caught red-handed in Melbourne.
A 30-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on an outstanding warrant, in Nunawading on Sunday, when police noticed his dog wore registration tags.
A check revealed the young labrador cross went missing from a Nunawading backyard earlier on Sunday, and the pet was later reunited with its relieved owner.
