Alleged car thief hit by owner's car

A man has been knocked over by a car in Melbourne, allegedly driven by the man whose car he stole.
The homeowner woke to hear his car and trailer being stolen from his driveway in Reservoir on Tuesday morning.
He got into a second vehicle and followed his stolen car the short distance from Myrtle Grove to Regent Street.

"The driver of the stolen Nissan has allegedly been hit by a car driven by the Myrtle Grove resident," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
A fight broke out between the pair after the collision and neighbours called police.
A man in his 30s was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital suffering leg injuries.
