* Nov 2000 - Rapes and assaults 18-year-old sex worker.

* April 26, 2002 - Jailed for 11 years (minimum eight) for 16 charges of rape against five victims.

* March 17, 2010 - Paroled.

* Feb 2012 - Still on parole, jailed for three months for recklessly causing serious injury. Bailed on appeal.

* April 5, 2012 - Rapes 25-year-old sex worker while on parole and bail.

* July 14, 2012 - Rapes and assaults Dutch backpacker while on parole and bail.

* Sept 22, 2012 - Rapes and murders Jill Meagher while on parole and bail.

* June 19, 2013 - Jailed for life, with a minimum of 35 years, for the murder of Jill Meagher with an additional 15 years for rape to be served cumulatively.

* July 2014 - A jury finds him guilty of raping the 18-year-old.

* March 26 2015 - Separate juries find him guilty of raping the 25-year-old and the backpacker.
