Accused Vic thief bitten by police dog

A man has been arrested after a police chase in Melbourne that ended with him being tasered and bitten by a police dog.
The 26-year-old is accused of assaulting police after refusing to pull over in a car near Werribee early on Thursday, which was allegedly stolen during an aggravated burglary.
When the car came to a stop, the man was tasered and bitten by a police dog after he became hostile, police said.

He was taken to hospital and is expected to be interviewed over various offences including reckless conduct endangering life, assaulting police and motor vehicle theft.
No police were injured during the incident and there was minor damage to three police vehicles.
