Accused Vic murderer changes guilty plea

A man accused of murdering a World War II veteran during an armed burglary in regional Victoria has withdrawn his guilty plea.
Adam Williamson last year pleaded guilty to the aggravated burglary and murder of 89-year-old Kenneth Handford at his Springbank home in 2015, but on Friday Justice Jane Dixon allowed him to change his plea.
The judge permitted Williamson to withdraw his guilty plea because there had been a misunderstanding, the Victorian Supreme Court heard.
