Accused Melbourne rapist behind bars

A 21-year-old Melbourne man accused of a raping a woman and sexually assaulting others has spent the night behind bars.

Kataha Siwee of Richmond appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday night and did not apply for bail.

Siwee is on 12 charges relating to attacks in Richmond and Abbotsford on April 5 and 14, including rape.

He was remanded to reappear in court via video link on Friday.
