About 60 people flee fire in Vic flats

About 60 people were evacuated from a block of flats in Melbourne as a fire took hold in the building.
The fire broke out in the third floor of the block in Preston.
MFB crews were alerted to the fire by a remote alarm early on Friday morning.

A ladder unit was used to give firefighters access to the roof.
Those evacuated were taken to a nearby McDonald's for shelter.
The fire took 40 minutes to control.
Fire cause investigators will attend the scene soon.
