92-year-old Vic man robbed, assaulted

A 92-year-old Melbourne man was robbed and assaulted in his own garage, police say.

The Elwood man withdrew $1000 from an ATM in St Kilda and was returning home on his motorised scooter when a man grabbed him from behind and stole his cash and bank book on April 24.

Police on Thursday said the victim had been in a state of shock following the attack but was uninjured.
