7-Eleven worker screams at teenage customer in angry meltdown

A 7-Eleven employee has been caught on camera screaming at a customer to get out of his Melbourne store as he tried to fill up a slurpee cup.

The meltdown was filmed on a phone by 18-year-old customer Eli Tibballs, who also captures the moment the clerk turned on his wife, shouting at her as she carried a small child in her arms.

It is not clear what triggered the confrontation, which took place at a store in Heathmont, but the woman suggests it is because her husband “doesn’t want you to waste too much”.

“What do you mean?” Mr Tibballs questioned the woman.

“Do you know how the slurpee system works?”

After ignoring his wife’s protests the clerk threatens to call the police.

“Yeah, let’s call the police,” Mr Tibballs says.

“Put them on the phone to me.”

Then Mr Tibballs appeals to the woman, asking if she could make him a slurpee.

“Yes, no problem,” she replied, a baby still in her arms.

“Which cup do you want?”

But before she could start to pour him the frozen drink her husband moves to the machine and removes all the slurpee cups, shouting in the woman’s face.

Coming to the woman’s defence, Mr Tibballs moved forward and said “Don’t yell at your wife, she’s got a baby”.

The video was shared to Facebook yesterday but has since been removed.
