$1m cannabis found metres from Vic schools

A cache of cannabis worth more than $1 million has been found in a Ballarat house just metres from primary schools and a childcare centre.

All seven rooms of the Cuthberts Road house were set up for cultivation and police found 220 plants and 14kg of cannabis during a raid on Tuesday.

The house is 60 metres from Alfredton Primary School and a few hundred metres from St Thomas More School and a childcare centre.

No arrests have been made.
