1000 Vic drivers a day broke laws

Victorian drivers were caught breaking the law almost 25,000 times over the Christmas-New Year holidays.

More than 430,000 drivers underwent breath tests, with 914 blowing over the legal limit, while 7651 speeding offences were detected.

Operation Roadwise ran for 22 days, with more than 1000 offences detected each day on average.
