$1 million for unsolved 2010 Vic murder

Homicide police are close to cracking the 2010 case of a man shot dead outside his Melbourne panel beating business.

A $1 million reward has been announced for information on the unsolved murder of Saleh Dheibech.

"Investigations thus far have taken us to a point where we believe we do know who was involved," Victoria Police Inspector Stephen White said on Sunday.

"We believe the announcement of this $1m reward may provide us with the breakthrough we need."

Mr Dheibech was shot while standing outside his Campbellfield panel beating business just after 9pm, on January 27, 2010.

Three men drove past in a car - likely a blue Subaru WRX - and one shot was fired mortally wounding the 51-year-old.

Mr Dheibech was able to make a phone call and friends found him in a pool of blood.
