Vic woman injured in carpark altercation

A 63-year-old Melbourne woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being assaulted.

The woman was involved in an altercation in the rear car park of a hotel in Fawkner on Saturday night, police say.

She suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.

Police have arrested a 29-year-old Fawkner woman who is assisting them with their inquiries.
