Vic woman faces court on murder charge

MELBOURNE, June 16 AAP - A woman charged with stabbing a Melbourne man to death has wept in the dock throughout a brief court appearance.

Lisa Marie Clark, 39, is charged with murdering Rodney Leo Clark, in a Ringwood home on Saturday.

Police found the body of Mr Clark, aged in his 40s, at the house in Melbourne's east around 8.30pm (AEST).

Clark, of Ringwood, was arrested at the scene.

Clark made no application for bail in the hearing in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.

She wept and waved at supporters in the courtroom.

The court was told it is Clark's first time in adult custody and that she suffers from anxiety and depression.

She will next appear in court in October.
