Vic TV burnout 'star' arrested

A young man may have had a small brush with fame for his alleged backyard burnouts, but then came his brush with the law.

Clips of the 24-year-old allegedly doing burnouts in the backyard of a factory in Melbourne's southeast were picked up and shown on TV last Thursday.

But the police were watching, too, and arrested the Langwarrin man on Wednesday morning.

The man is expected to be charged on summons with reckless conduct endangering serious injury and improper use of a motor vehicle.
