Vic motorcyclist flees police stop

A motorcyclist is on the run after being allegedly caught speeding at twice the limit in outer Melbourne.

Police say the rider was travelling at 120km/h in a 60km/h zone with another motorcyclist in Melton.

One of the motorcyclists was stopped as he turned right at a roundabout on Friday night while the other took off by turning left.

A 31-year-old man had his modified Harley-Davidson impounded for a month and is expected to be charged with a variety of traffic offences.

The other rider is still unaccounted for.
