Vic motorcyclist caught doing 205km/h

A motorcyclist has lost his bike after being caught doing more than twice the speed limit in Victoria.

Police caught the Honda motorbike doing 205km/h in a 100km/h zone at Castella on the outskirts of Melbourne at 11am on Saturday.

The bike was immediately impounded under Victoria's hoon legislation.

The rider, a 24-year-old man from Epping, will be charged on summons with speeding and dangerous riding offences.
