Vic mother and two children missing

A Melbourne mother and her two young children have been reported missing after failing to return from a day trip.

Police say they are concerned for the welfare of North Brighton woman Kiya Worku, 33, her daughter Justine, four, and her one-year-old son Yorisun.

She had planned to take her children to Elsternwick by train on Saturday afternoon, but they have not been seen since.

Ms Worku is approximately 170cm tall, of a thin build and with short black curly hair.

It is not known what she was wearing but police believe she had a pram.
