Woman questioned after Melbourne man stabbed in the stomach

A man is in a stable condition after being stabbed in the stomach at a home in Melbourne's northern suburbs.

Police and paramedics found the injured man, aged in his 30s, at a home on Oak Street, Preston, about 4.10pm yesterday.

He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition, and his condition changed to stable just before 10pm.

A woman in her 40s was arrested at the scene and is being questioned.
