The Victorian inquiry into voluntary euthanasia will hear submissions from two new sources.

Representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services and Avant Mutual Group will appear before the legal and social issues committee on Wednesday to discuss end-of-life choices.

The committee has already held 15 public hearings on the inquiry.

It was set up in May after an original bid to hand the task to the Victorian Law Reform Commission failed, and has examined palliative care practices, various legal frameworks and the impact any legislative change will have on state and federal laws.

The inquiry will report back to the parliament by the end of March next year.
