Vandals use excavators to trash Perth primary school

School's out for a group of students in Perth after vandals drove two excavators through the grounds of a primary school causing more than $10,000 in damage.
Police were called to Riverton Primary School at about midnight after being alerted by the school's security system.

When they arrived they discovered two excavators which had been driven into a wall and the double doors of the art department.
According to a spokesman for the Education Department the excavators were already on site to perform some work on the grounds.
Police are now on the hunt for the perpetrators.
