Ute starts to roll away as Queensland police perform RBT

When Queensland Police share an RBT video, you just know it’s going to deliver.

Even more so when it is captioned on the force’s Facebook page as “We know pizza & beer are great, but when you've already had a few, just get it delivered please”.

If you have had alcohol, being behind the wheel is a bad decision for you and everyone around you.

And that is abundantly clear when watching this woman having to be coaxed to put the handbrake on as her ute starts to roll backwards.

“Put the break on… mamme, put it in gear,” a remarkably patient Toowoomba officer says.

“I’ll put you in gear,” the woman slurs.

After a back-and-forth the shoeless lady manages to get out of the vehicle and blow into the device.

It flashes red.

“This device indicates to me that you are over the general alcohol limit,” the officer says.

After informing the suspect she is detained, she snaps back “oh, I’m not detained”.

Her reading was a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 0.286%. It was the highest drink driving reading in Queensland yesterday.
