4WD ploughs into service station in bungled ram raid

A bandit has been left empty-handed after smashing his ute through a Queensland service station in a bungled ram raid attempt.

CCTV shows the driver nudging the glass door before ploughing through the front of a station at Glenwood, north of Gympie.

9NEWS understands the driver’s target was the in-store ATM, but as he reverses, he manages to instead wipe out a counter and collect everything else in his path.

Realising his smash-and-grab mission was a blunder, the driver reverses out of the service station, eventually driving off without a single dollar.
