US ambassador hopes for Greek deal

The US ambassador to Australia John Berry hopes every step is being taken to avoid a debt default by Greece as the deadline approaches later on Tuesday.
He hopes Greece, the European Union and the International Monetary Fund can reach a satisfactory solution to avoid a Greek default.
"I know intense talks are underway right now between those three key players. It is a very important thing that we hope will be resolved," he told reporters in Canberra on Tuesday.
